Bio-Klaani –What is it?

At first my blog had targeted the members of Bio-Klaani but now I think it’s not like that anymore. Because of this, all the readers of my blog have to know what is the mystic Bio-Klaani. I warn you: this will be an interesting story.

Almost eight years ago (!!!) I set up Bio-Klaani with Tawa. It was the (Finnish) internet forum about Bionicle (Lego’s toys). At that time Bio-Klaani had an active internet community. Although I’m one of the admins there, I still was inactive for some years. I did a comeback almost three years ago and I got addiction again.

Now the members of Bio-Klaani are huge consumers of media (films, tv-series, games and so on…) which now it’s the most common factor as well as our role playing game Klaanon. We aren’t anymore so interested in Bionicle because the Lego series ended and children grew up. Still we have the role playing game Klaanon which is based on the story of Bionicle. We don’t call Klaanon a role playing game anymore because it’s more like a novel now.

Bio-Klaani has changed for a lifelong group of friends. We really like to have fun together because we have a tradition to visit somebody’s cottage for a week at least twice in a year. Although we live around Finland we still meet quite often.

I’m a really happy that I have like this group of friends. I just love them. Now I realize how difficult it is to try to explain this to you… The members of Bio-Klaani have  really similar sense of humor (double entendre) and because of that we enjoy each other. Oh now… This sounds really like a double entendre.

Now you know what’s Bio-Klaani! I think that I will speak a lot about it here.

Worms and mud cake

Hello all little worms! Today I cooked porridge and found a worm from there. I realized that the worm had come from my (out of date) oatmeals. Yes, that's important to tell you. Yesterday I baked a mud cake and burned my finger :I I'm not very good cooking.

What have I done?  I study, study and study. But studying is fun! How can I say like this? I have still one essay to write but before that I have to read four research articles. And day after tomorrow I'll have an exam about academic writing. Furthermore I calculate math :3 I really like my studies. I hope I'll have time to study an extended minor about maths.

My English studies. Oh well. I have had many English lessons now. My lessons are about "writing in general" and "easy talk". I think this'll be a good combination for me because I have to write and speak a lot this spring. Also I have to say that our English teachers are awesome and really supportive. Maybe I'll still find a way to learn prepositions.

There are two weeks until my winter holiday. At that time we also have our Clan's meeting :P A good time have fun then.

From a lonely (Valentine's) weekend

Hi! It's in English now!

I think that I start writing to my blog in English for the next three months. I have ALMS English course at the university and because of that I have to study English for 75 hours by myself. I'm sorry that you will read my bad English from here on but I will improve and you can correct my mistakes!

To learn English is difficult for me because of my light dyslexia. I need lots of time to learn and some new study techniques to study such as this blog. I have decided that I will write a lot this spring and watch a tv-series in English or with English subtitles. I have a bad habit to put Finnish sub on but now I will bury it! I'm also planning that I will read and listen English lyrics and then translate unknown words. Usually I don't pay attention to lyrics because I'm not used to it.

Last weekend I finished watching Breaking Bad with English sub. That's an awesome and very exciting series. You have to watch it! I also wrote a little essay of my past English studies which is like a sine curve in maths :D At the same time I realized that my English word order sucks. Besides I translate straight from Finnish into English. That's bad. But I can't think in English! Maybe I will make progress in that too... For last I realized that I have problems with verbs ”be” and ”have”. What’s the difference and when can I put ”have” and when ”be”? Somehow it's a very hard for me differentiate these terms.

Now I will promise to write in the blog at least for once a week. I think that's a good way for me to learning English. Let's see, how I will succeed :3 And now I 'm going to watch Under the Dome on TV :P
